Greg and I celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary this summer, however, we were half way around the world from each other at the time. And since then we have been dealing with his transfer to Houston, selling our house and buying another one. Finding the time to get away has been difficult. We finally found a free weekend and spent it at a remote cabin on the Oklahoma/Arkansas border. We arrived at the same time as a nippy cold front and spent a lot of time in front of the fire!! We enjoyed driving thru the Kiamichee Mountains and Ouchita National Forest. The best part...no cell phone service or internet!!!
We were afraid we had missed the fall colors, but there were still plenty left.
Our family was blessed to welcome another grandson on October 17

The labor and delivery went pretty smoothly and this new little family is doing great!! All 4 grandparents were in the waiting room and we didn't even knock each other over getting into the room the see Ryan.
We took the task of spoiling very seriously. It was a blessing for me to be able to spend 4 weeks with Rachel, Corey and Eli. Greg was able to come for a few days as well and did we have a great time!!!As you can tell, we did not put him down very much.
Grandpa made a baseball wall hanging for Eli and got to introduce him to his first glove, ball and bat. Not sure if Eli understood the concept yet.
This was my last day at their house and you can tell our eyes are red from crying.
