We took the task of spoiling very seriously. It was a blessing for me to be able to spend 4 weeks with Rachel, Corey and Eli. Greg was able to come for a few days as well and did we have a great time!!!As you can tell, we did not put him down very much.
Grandpa made a baseball wall hanging for Eli and got to introduce him to his first glove, ball and bat. Not sure if Eli understood the concept yet.
This was my last day at their house and you can tell our eyes are red from crying.
We have finally joined the grandparents club. Eli Jacob was born July 28, 2008 to parents Corey and Rachel. We are so excited and I was able to be with them the day after his birth. This is a very sweet family.
Isn't this the most precious picture ever?
Snoozing with Daddy. This is the quilt I made for him. His room is a sports theme and very boy cute!!!
Greg and I have become horse owners for the very first time. I purchased Jackie from my nephew, Stephen, and quickly learned I have a lot to learn about this whole business. She has learned even quicker that I don't know much and has tried to get away with all she can. She is being stabled nearby in Arlington, so I can ride as often as I can and look forward to learning as we go. Here are some pictures of our maiden voyage.
She really did not like my hot pink cowboy hat I borrowed from Erin. Actually tried to eat it!!
Jackie really loves Greg!! He brushes her and gives her treats and makes it hard for me to get her attention.
She was very concerned about the storm coming in, not to mention all the farm animals next door who were watching (and giggling).
I was finally able to persuade her to let me get on. I have since left the pink hat at home. Yeehaw, ya'll!!!
Ok, after multiple complaints and concerns, here is a new entry. (wow, the last one was in February). Well, here are some reasons and/or excuses. I was teaching a 2 year old MDO class 2 days a week. Between lessons and individual scrapbooks, I had little spare time or energy. Plus, we began a complete remodel of our downstairs. A project expected to take 2-3 weeks, managed to stretch out over 2 months. At one point, we had a tub and toilet on the driveway, a fridge on the front porch and a microwave set up in the yard. It was great...NOT!! Here are before and after pics.
And not to be out done... here are Rachel & Corey and Travis & Erin's building projects. Eli is due July 28th and Baby Jeffers October 14th. Mamaw and Granpa can hardly wait!!!
I HAVE NEGLECTED MY BLOG SITE FOR A WHILE. WAITING FOR JUST THE RIGHT PICTURES TO ADD. I THINK I HAVE SOME GREAT ONES. DURING TWO RECENT VISITS WITH MY FAMILY WE ENJOYED PLAYING AROUND WITH SOME GOOFY MASKS. I AM PROTECTING THE NAME OF EACH PARTICIPANT (UNLESS I GET A GOOD BRIBE).
