July '07 was a busy month for us. The first weekend we were in Hope, Arkansas for a Butler family reunion. It was great to visit with relatives we haven't seen in a while.
This is the train track that runs near my MamMa's house. Lots of memories here.
The second weekend we were in Virginia with Rachel and Corey. We visited Jamestown, Yorktown and Appomatox. Lots of U.S. history!!
A whirlwind tour of DC was also on the agenda. I loved the detail in the war memorials, especially the hands.
Next, we were in Louisiana for the Holloway family reunion. I'll try to add pix that are not on Travis/Erin's or Rachel/Corey's blogs.
This guy crossed the path of the wrong person!! And since there were alligators spotted in the lake, we weren't sure where it was safe to be. The locals assured us no skiers had been 'gator bait...yet!!
Tubing and skiing always provides great facial expressions. I've included mine to keep others happy.
And, finally, a trip to Scotland (business for Greg, fun for me). My first passport stamp!!! We stayed at the Carnoustie Golf Hotel which was the site of the British Open this year. We enjoyed exploring the beach and village everyday.
The country was so beautiful and the temperature, just right. We were able to visit several castles and quaint villages.
We had the opportunity to spend a few days in London on the way home. We did a bus tour one day, then walked everywhere the next. We were really tired when we came home!!!
